Tēnā tātou katoa,
2023 is turning out to be the year that the AI community has been waiting for and we have been having plenty of constructive conversations in the media and in different organisations.
Don’t forget to nominate your favourite women in AI for the Women in AI Awards APAC. Forum members are active as judges and on the advisory panel – Nominations close this Friday 31 March!
We had a really successful event in Christchurch, supported by Cognizant and Canterbury Tech. Thanks again to our amazing panel Hazel Bradhsaw, Sean Muller, Richard Green and Matt Ensor. Thank you to Louisa Taylor and Canterbury Tech for all their support, and to the audience for being so wonderfully engaged!
Our Masterclasses are getting underway within several organisations over the coming months. These Masterclasses are intended to help senior decision makers understand AI and its potential roles in their organisations; and to encourage responsible, realistic and safe adoption in a New Zealand context.
We do have plans to run Masterclass sessions that are open to all in the near future. If this is something you would like to attend please complete this survey.
Our AI Governance and Large Language Model Working Groups are also gaining momentum, with demand for their outputs increasing daily. You can see what they are up to on our website.
Don’t forget, Techweek and the Tomorrow Expo are getting closer. If you would like to be involved please get in touch.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter break.
Ngā mihi mahana
Madeline
