ITP Christchurch – Towards an AI-Enabled Future New Zealand
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging everywhere around us today. The rapid development of AI technologies presents major opportunities for New Zealand; from creating world leading AI businesses to increasing productivity in our agriculture, tourism, government, manufacturing and service industries.
However there are also challenges and a meaningful national debate on the broader implications for society is required. New Zealand needs to actively engage with AI now in order to secure our future prosperity.
In this session Ben Reid will discuss the AI ecosystem in New Zealand and the progress being made to implement the recommendations from the AI Forum’s recent report Artificial Intelligence – Shaping a Future New Zealand released in May 2018.
