AI and Creativity Summit 2026
Prompting Curious Minds
Tuesday 5 May | Auckland
Wednesday 6 May | Wellington
Now in its third year, our unique event explores the use of AI and its impact on creative industries in Aotearoa and across the world.
We’re bringing global conversations into a local context, creating space for nuance and practical insight. From storytelling in a technology-driven world to misinformation and creative rights, our summit is designed to spark meaningful conversations about what comes next.
You’ll hear examples from across the sector, including media and journalism, film, VFX, gaming, design and creative technology, showing how AI is shaping content creation, audience engagement and new creative workflows.
Across two cities, we’re bringing together creative sector thought leaders, artists, educators, innovators and people who care about the impact of AI on society. Through keynotes, panels, and interactive learning, we’ll explore attribution, deepfakes, social licence, trust and cultural perspectives including Sovereign AI.
One Minute AI Film Festival Aotearoa
We’re also proud to present the One Minute AI Film Festival Aotearoa, an open-to-all initiative designed to spark excitement and deepen engagement among rangatahi, particularly students in creative and digital programmes. We’ll celebrate the innovative ways AI is transforming filmmaking, storytelling and creative expression, with finalists showcased during the Summit.
Join us in May to connect, learn, and spark new ideas about AI’s role in creativity and creative business.
