Driving productivity with AI!
The AI Forum, in partnership with Callaghan Innovation and Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, is advancing its research intothe impact of AI on productivity in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Every six months, our survey captures how AI is evolving across the country – benchmarking progress, uncovering new insights and tracking shifts in how AI shapes industries and sectors in Aotearoa.
In our first report, 67% of respondents reported using AI, especially generative AI, with almost all seeing improved worker efficiency and many experiencing positive financial impacts.

Our second report, published in March 2025, showed that in the following six months, AI adoption surged 15% across New Zealand businesses, with 93% reporting increased worker efficiency and only 7% experiencing job displacement.
