At AI Forum New Zealand we believe in harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to enable a prosperous, inclusive and thriving future New Zealand.
However, along with AI’s huge potential comes challenges around its use.
While the potential of AI is exciting, recent research[1] indicates that although more than 50 per cent of New Zealand business leaders from 200 companies currently use a form of AI in their work, little consideration has been given to setting up best practice AI governance.
“We don’t yet have all the answers, but the mission of the AI Forum is to draw upon our network and advance New Zealand’s AI ecosystem, and promote the economic opportunities that could come from smart, and responsible use of AI. We must do this in collaboration with those at the frontline of this field,” says AI Forum NZ Executive Director Madeline Newman.
To help senior decision makers understand these technologies and their potential roles in their organisations; and to encourage responsible, realistic and safe adoption in a New Zealand context, AI Forum is hosting AI Masterclasses for various industries.
Our next Masterclass on 31 October 2023 is tailored for the insurance industry. If you are a senior decision maker in the insurance industry and interested in attending you can learn more and register here.
You will leave armed with a framework, a set of questions to ask to avoid common pitfalls, and some invaluable contacts to help you on your journey. It’s a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and stay relevant in changing times.
Feedback from AI Masterclass participant: “That was a fantastic masterclass – very well structured and rounded and they all sparked many ideas and cool conversations. Thank you!”
